Optical Photodetectors
Parsa optical photodetectors enabling detection of optical signals in visible to NIR regions. These devices are comparable with Thorlabs products in both operation and price
Optical photodetectors (OPDs) are devices that convert light signals into electrical signals that can be analyzed and processed by electronic devices. The working principle of optical photodetectors is based on the photoelectric effect, which is the emission of electrons from a material when it absorbs photons of light. When light strikes the surface of the photodetector, it generates electron-hole pairs in the material. These electron-hole pairs create a current flow within the photodetector, which can be measured as an electrical signal.
There are different types of optical photodetectors, such as photodiodes, phototransistors, and photomultiplier tubes, each with their own specific working principles. Photodiodes are semiconductor devices that generate a current when exposed to light. Optical photodetector devices are constructed using various materials and technologies, depending on the specific application requirements.
Parsa OPDs use InGaAs photodiodes to detect light in the wavelength range of 600 nm (Optical) to 1700 nm (Near Infrared or NIR). Parsa Quantum Technology company released a wide variety of OPDs with different specs and applications. These optical detectors can detect optical beams from free space as well as optical fiber, depending on the user’s request. In terms of price and performance, these parts are completely competitive with the foreign sample products, and because of the localization of its technology, it has the support services of Parsa Quantum Technology company. These optical detectors can utilized for laboratory, semi-industrial, industrial, and military applications.
